Happy April

Over at BYC they are playing a joke. When you type in the word egg it reads rooster instead. So there are all these crazy posts about hatching roosters for sale and deviled rooster recipe. At first I thought it was a hacker or a virus and then I realized it's an April Fool's Joke. ha ha ha!

Only a few days left until Sunday. I am so excited! I am also not looking forward to waking up so early. We need to be there by 4:30 am to ensure we get a spot under the roof as they are calling for a chance of rain.

I sure hope this is not an April Fool's Joke. I got an email notification I sold some postage stamps today. They were the stamp shown below.

Some more Vintage Postcards

Here are the rest of the postcards I was able to get at the antiques show this weekend. There were some crazy postcard prices there but I found one dealer with postcards in my price range and was able to get these really pretty ones:) I love the German one that traveled all the way to Berlin.

Vintage Ads over 100 years old

I just love the May 1895 edition of Harper's New Monthly Magazine. I found it on Etsy and just had to have it. I have scanned some of the neat old advertisements and added them to products at my Zazzle store such as the two shirts shown below. They are also on greeting cards, ties, and more. For these two shirts I turned the color of the page transparent which left just the black part of the add so the words in the ad will be whatever color shirt you choose.

A Vintage Postcard

Just thought I would show one of the vintage postcards in my personal collection of vintage postcards. Don't ya just love the hands and the doves? So pretty. If I haven't already said I have recently gotten 50 vintage postcards with birds on them and am slowly adding them to products at my Zazzle store. Check out the store if you like vintage postcards on products. I haven't added this postcard to products yet but I probably will sometime soon.

P.S. I have also cleaned up my blog and deleted a lot of posts. I think a product a day was just too much esp. those days I also posted about like 5 other things. I'll try and keep the posts down from now on. Maybe a product a week or every two weeks would be better than every single day.

A Card From June

Isn't this beautiful? June sent this card with the journal that I won. Her son is in hospital. My thoughts are prayers are with her. She runs Art Freebies and other blogs also.

Today's Best Award

This has been awarded Today's Best February 23, 2009 :) For the mousepad I cut the words from the bottom of the vintage postcard digitally doing no damage to the actual vintage postcard. I recently won (bought) 50 vintage postcards all with birds on them at an auction so I have been busy scanning them and uploading them as products on Zazzle. I am pleased to be picked among the thousands of products on there as one of today's best products.

ATC sized Art

I made several little ATC sized artworks last night mostly from items from the package that came in the mail yesterday from Lorri Lennox. The "Life" card is by Lorri displayed with her very pretty business card. I need to design myself a business card so I can hand it out to people who ask about where I sale my art so I don't have to say online and they can have all the actual links to go look and maybe buy some;) Enjoy! My scanner didn't scan some of them very well but at least you can see what I have started doing with the package I won from Lorri. Thanks Lorri!
