New Textures
I've added several new textures for you to use in my Flickr album. I hope at least some of them will be useful to use as layers in photos/artwork for other artists.

Another Weed
I have photographed a pretty little weed I believe to be called "Henbit." I've noticed some of my chickens enjoy eating a few of the little flowers at a time so I guess maybe that is how "Henbit" got named that. I like to take photos of weeds that are pretty to me. I'm going to have a very busy few days. I have things planned for Fri.-Sun. so I won't be on the computer much at all for those days so if I don't have a blog post those days that is why.
The texture I used on this one is this one thanks to Lenoirrr.

On The Lookout
There is a swap meet this weekend. I'll be on the lookout for more vintage postcards and if I am really lucky some vintage books and magazines printed before 1923. You never know who or what will show up at a swap meet.
My advertising tee arrived from Zazzle yesterday. Now I will be wearing it at swap meets and other places hoping people will see it and look the store up. It's not this tee but I am very happy with the quality of tees from Zazzle. I had sold some in the past and always wondering if the customers would be happy and now that I have my own I know they are amazing.

New Business Cards
I spent the past day adding several new business cards to the store. I plan to add more soon. I just need to figure out what kind of business cards people would be looking for. Most of them are my own photography or vintage items from my personal collection. A few are public domain photos that I thought would make nice business cards.

More Textures More Photos
I'm still addicted to adding textures to my photos. It was rainy this weekend so I was able to play around with my photos again. Here are some of the newest ones I have done. I still want to do even more with textures and my photos as I have time to.
I'm glad it is no longer winter but I did play around with some of the photos I took this past winter. I did drive-by shootings one day as we were going somewhere and took this photo out the window at highway speeds. I was shocked it turned out as well as it did. I've added a texture to it and love the look it gave.
I tried a different texture on the tractor photo. I like both versions. I showed the other version a few days ago.
The bleeding hearts are no more. The last few days of rain and thunderstorms have knocked all of the flowers off. I am still playing around with the photos I took and adding textures to them.

Weeds are Pretty, Sometimes
Weeds can be very pretty. I actually like some of them. Some are weeds to some people and wildflowers to other people. My camera is out of commission right now. I feel lost without it. Hopefully it will be working again soon and I can take more photos. Some of those photos are sure to be of weeds/wildflowers that I like.

TGIF!
I have this weekend off from swap meets. Then I have some more coming up real soon. It's nice to have a weekend at home though after two busy weekends. The farmers have been busy this week. They finished planting the crops yesterday.
Thunder is now two weeks old. His ears haven't decided what they want to do yet. His dam is a Nubian and his sire is an Alpine. Sometimes he has them hanging down like a Nubian and other times he has them up. All I know it they look huge right now but I know he will grow into them.
Since it was raining today I spent more time indoors and was able to upload several new things to my store.

Been a Busy Day Already
I brushed and bathed all three horses. My billy goat, Dobie, also got a bath and a nice walk down the country roads. The farmers are still busy out in the fields planting today. I might try and get some photos of them at work later this afternoon. I took Hope, my dog, on a walk last night out with the camera but the farmers had gone on a supper break so they weren't out in the fields at that time. They worked late into the night and came back early this morning. This year it will be soybeans grown in the fields.
Here is a photo I recently took and have added textures to from various sources. It's a feather from on of my Muscovy hens that blew out of the nest they are sitting on and got stuck on a weed. Hopefully in just a few more weeks there will be little Muscovy ducklings running around the farm.

More Standardbred Items
I enjoyed watching the horses at practice on the track over the weekend when I was at a swap meet. I took several photos and I have been playing around with them and adding textures to them. Here are some of them.

Thunder is Growing Fast
Thunder is growing so fast. He loves to bounce and run around the pasture. He is so friendly. I took some photos of him at a week old. I can't believe tomorrow he will be two weeks old. Time sure does fly. I'll probably take some more photos of him later today. And of course I will take photos of some flowers, chickens, and whatever else also while I have the camera out.
Apple has just gone broody, which means she is sitting on eggs to hatch, so hopefully with luck next month I will have some little ducklings running around. I'm so glad they didn't pass that stupid law that would have made Muscovy ducks illegal to own except with a federal permit.
I think the neighbor lady thought I must be crazy when I was laying down in the grass in the pasture taking photos. She kept staring over at me. I was taking photos of the wildflowers and pretty weeds.

Long Weekend
It was a long weekend with two swap meets. I am still tired from getting around so early both days and then spending all day out in the sun and wind both days. I sold a few things which was good. Some people didn't sale their stuff and then just threw it in the trash after the swap meet. What a shame. I saw this pretty bird for sale for $800 at the one swap meet. He/She was just sitting there on a perch. I thought to myself what happens if that bird flies away? Anyways... later in the day I saw someone had bought it. I can't remember what kind of bird they said it was but it sure was pretty.
There was a horse track next to the fairgrounds at the one swap meet this weekend. There were a few horses out there and I got a few photos of the Standardbred horses out on the track.
