Many New Items
There are many new additions in my store. I've been busy this week adding new designs. Now I am going to be busy for the next few days at a swap meet. I'll see ya when I get back. They are also having a fall festival at the same time as the swap meet so hopefully that will draw the crowds in.

New Business Cards
I have recently added several new business cards to my Zazzle store. Now I have over 100 designs to choose from. I will continue to add new ones as well. Here are a few of the newest ones in the store.
And not a business card but too cute to resist. A squirrel :) Normally they stay in the woods across the way that belong to our neighbors and rarely come here as they don't like all the open space in the pasture but they can't resist the acorns that have fallen to the ground so there was one in the pasture yesterday and I was able to get some cute photos.
I think it is saying would you just leave me alone so I can eat my acorns in peace.

New Posters and Maybe A New Site
I might be selling my photography and art on another site soon. I was invited to join 3drose. I have submitted my first 10 images. They are also small posters in my Zazzle store. I tried to include an eclectic mix of some of my art in the first ten that would look good cropped into their preferred format of squares.
The ten are:

Chickens
I've just added some new items to my Zazzle store today. I got two Salmon Faverolle pullets (young hens) at the swap meet. :) I've wanted some for ages as I love their extra toe that the breed has and the tinted eggs the hens lay. Pictured above is one of them. They are so sweet.
I've also taken some more photos of my other chickens, guinea pigs, ect. and am adding them into the store also. I took so many photos this morning. I didn't have the camera handy when something funny happened though. Darn! A squirrel came to visit as there are now acorns in the pasture. Salt, Pepper, and Spice, my young Muscovy hens went over to check to squirrel out and followed it around and around the tree until it decided that instead of going around the tree in circles it would go up the tree. It was funny to watch and nobody got hurt.
Here are a couple of the other photos I did take this morning and have uploaded into the store.
My Turkin sure has grown from this little chick
to this today.
And my Creole Easter Egger Rooster
I love his creole color. He is really friendly also.

More Ducklings
Sky with her first set of ducklings and a gosling earlier this year above.
We have 16 new ducklings! :) Sky came out from where her nest was at the other day with 16 ducklings. I took some photos but I don't have them off the camera and on the computer yet.
Well. I better get busy and get stuff ready for the swap meet on Sunday. It is one of the last ones for the season. My fingers are crossed I sale all the books I have for sale so I don't have to haul them around any more and hopefully some other stuff will sale as well. This one is a fun one to go to as there are always a lot of critters to see as well. It's where I have gotten most of my photos of the large pet birds such as the Macaw photo below and some still life vintage photos also.

Abandoned House
I took some photos of an abandoned house I found on a rural gravel road the other day.
I took this one a few weeks ago at the same house.
Since my visit before and my visit a few days ago it appeared someone had broken into the house and the abandoned trailer home next door. I don't trespass to take my photos. They were taken from the street but I guess other people so trespass to take photos, steal, vandalize, ect.
There were some old grain bins with trees growing in them at the abandoned farmstead.
It was really the wrong time of day to take photos of the bins as there is a sun glare. I guess I could have trespassed onto the property to take the photo from a different angle not facing the sun but I did not wish to trespass. Maybe someday I will find an abandoned house and will be able to ask the property owner for permission to take photos inside the house as well.
Here is one of the trailer home next door. Someone had left all the doors and windows open.
A few weeks ago when I drove past all the doors and windows were closed but it was too dark to take any photos as the sun had just set.

Sandhill Cranes
One of the things I loved when I lived in Nebraska were the Sandhill cranes. They used to come to Kearney, Nebraska in the hundreds of thousands in the spring and autumn during their migrations. I hadn't seen any Sandhill cranes since moving to Iowa until Tues. evening. We were coming home from the Farmers Market when three big birds flew in front of us. I thought they were Sandhill cranes but wasn't sure so we turned around and drove back and yep I was right. There were three Sandhill cranes out in a field.

Holiday Cards and More
Sometimes you have to stop at the grocery store even if you are Amish. I went to an exotic animal sale last Sat. in Kalona, Iowa and took some photos on the way home. I got a cute pair of frizzle chickens at the sale.
Here are some of the new holiday photos I took this morning of the guinea pigs to use as greeting cards. I got the babies at the exotic sale. They are so sweet. I've never had baby guinea pigs before. They are all four boys so there are no worries of them having any babies themselves. I used to have an adult male guinea pig as a pet about 15 years ago. He lived to be 7 years old and passed away while I was away at collage. I'd never thought to get another one as a pet until now. Now I'll have the four to grow up together and keep each other company. The guinea pig I had in the past lived with my two pet hamsters I had back then and got along great with them.
