Boycott BP Fo'ever

Boycott BP Fo'ever

I saw this on the window of a truck when we were at the Thur. night farmer's market. I had to take a quick photo. I feel for all the wildlife that is being injured and killed by the damage BP is causing. I might put this one for sale at my Zazzle store. I'm not sure though.

Expired Film Photography

I played with some expired film and took some photos over the winter. I got one of them scanned in before my scanner quit working. Here it is.

Hopefully I can figure out why the scanner is not working and get it fixed soon as my pile of things to scan keeps growing and growing.

Sold Some Art

I sold some art at the farmer's market last night. Woot! I sold the original of this collage that I had made on a scrap cutting board block. I couldn't find the original version's photo in the archives but here is a digitally altered version. Dad sold some of his original blacksmithing also. Woot! We also sold a dozen green eggs. It was a lovely evening and I took a ton of photos. I just have not gotten around to working with the new photos yet. I have a photo of some of the things we sold and I will show them some time later. Now I've gotta get busy and make some more art to sale. I need some more scrap wood and some other art supplies soon. I'll use what I have left at the moment and then buy some more supplies with the art sale profits. :)

More Pretty Weeds

I found some pretty pink daisy-like weeds in the pasture yesterday. Just a few of them. Anyways I picked a bunch of weeds and made a weed bouquet. Why not? Then I decided to take some photos. It was a bit too windy outside though and kept blowing my weed bouquet out of the teacup. I did manage to get a few photos though. I've added textures from les brumes on Flickr to them.

The Little Muscovy Family

Sky and her ducklings and gosling were out and about yesterday. They are so fun to watch. One of the ducklings is not hers but an adopted barnyard mix duckling. She doesn't seem to notice. She also adopted the lone gosling we have. I wonder if she thinks it is just a duckling on growth hormones? Or if she knows that it is a gosling. Anyways... they are so cute as they travel around the farm stopping for a swim or finding a bite to eat. This morning Sky was showing them a great place to find flies. I love the Muscovys as they are excellent at fly control and now she will also be teaching the little gosling as well. Sometimes you will hear a little knocking sound and wonder what is that? And then you will realize it is just the Muscovies getting the flies off the side of the house. Muscovy ducks are the best!

Eggs For Sale

I have several different products to help you promote your eggs for sale. You can even customize them if you would like. If you would like me to I can try and place any of these designs on another product as well. Not all of the images will work on all products due to size variations but I will make an effort to make the product for you if you would like the image on another product.

Antique Dogs

I got some great antique dog figurines at the swap meet last weekend. I took them outside the other day and took some photos of them. It's always fun to find some great new things at the swap meets while you are there selling the things that you want to sale.

6 Horse Team

There was a six-horse team out working in the fields on Wed. and I took a couple of photos as we were driving past. The farmers are all hard at work now that it is once again warmer and drier. I'm sure I'll see more teams out in the fields as they prepare and plant the fields.

Friday is the Farmer's Market

Friday will be my second Farmer's Market. Last week we sold out of eggs. Hopefully that will happen again this week. It was amazing how many people that had never seen a green egg before. They also said our white eggs were better than any white store eggs. And then we had brown eggs also. Then I took some turkey and duck eggs to the swap meet over the weekend and most people asked if they were real eggs or if you could even eat them. I thought living in a rural area people would know more but I guess they really don't. I love to teach people about our eggs when they ask questions. I think farm fresh eggs are the best.

Been Busy then Sick

It was a busy weekend with a swap meet. It was so cold at the swap meet and then I ended up being sick all day yesterday. I don't know if it was because I was so cold all weekend or if it was something else. Anyways... I am feeling better today. I spent the morning doing barn chores and now I am going to work on the store some. Here are some photos I took at a different swap meet. I didn't sell as much as I would have liked but I did sale enough to bring home one empty box. :) So that was great. And I found some old printing press blocks that I will use in my mixed media art :)

I love to take photos of barns. I took this one as we were driving out the windshield of the truck. Then I added a texture from Shadowhouse Creations to it. I hope to take more photos of barns someday soon.

Here are a couple others I shot out the window when we were on the road somewhere.

Got Bored

I got bored with my own photos so I went and got some photos that were licensed that I was able to use them in my store and played around with them. Here are a couple of them.
