One of my Older photos

That is still one of my personal faves. It was a warm March day back in 2008 after a really bad winter. We had snow on the ground for months and on this day almost all the snow melted away. I could feel the warm southern winds blowing in from the south but you could also feel the chill of the frozen river so one moment it felt like the heater was blowing on you and the next it would feel like a cold winter wind was blowing on you down at the Mississippi River in Fort Madison, Iowa.

Chicken Eggs

These are just a couple of the wonderful eggs my lovely hens have laid in the past few days. A couple of the pullets just started laying eggs this week adding olive colored eggs to the mix. Now I get pastel green, olive green, brown, pinkish, and white eggs.

Frost

Photography by Angelandspot on Dec. 29, 2009. I have added a texture from the Aged Canvas Texture collection at Shadowhouse Creations. You will find Frost in my Redbubble gallery. It sure was cold today but very beautiful. I'm glad I went outside in my pjs this morning when it was four degrees so I could get these photos. I put my winter coat on over my pjs and was only out for about 10 minutes. It was cold but the photos were so worth it. It did warm up and actually wasn't that bad today with the wind not blowing. I took some photos of the goats playing and bouncing around in the snow with my film camera.

Snow

We got a bit of snow today. The birds did not want to be outside except for the geese. Everybody else stayed inside the barn today. I took Polish out while it was still snowing a bit and took a photo of him as the snow was falling and then carried him right back into the barn. He was perched on my one arm while I used my other arm to hold the camera and take the picture. You will find both of these prints, White and Polish Roo in the Snow in my Redbubble store. This snow was just practice for the blizzard we are going to have the next two days. If there are any breaks in the snow I will get out there and take some more photos but I don't want to ruin the camera by getting it too wet either so I might be stuck with indoor photography the next couple days.
