I've played with some photos I shot out the window on Weds. as we were coming home from running a few errands. I took photos of barns and cattle out in pastures.


This one was 10 layers before I flattened the image. I combined two different photos I took plus a texture from Playingwithbrushes.

I plan to take some more photos of cattle someday when it is a bit cooler outside. I want to add more cattle items to my cattle line of products at Zazzle. Maybe I will come across the photos I took of my show cattle I used to have back when I was in 4-H someday. I'm sure I have some around here somewhere then I could scan them in. I'll also take some photos of the neighbor's cattle someday as well.

The Heat of Summer

There is a extreme heat advisory today. So now that I am done with things that had to be done outside it is time to stay indoors and stay cool until it is time to leave for the Farmer's Market tonight. It's going to be a hot one but hopefully some buyers will still brave the heat. I'm able to work on some digital artwork though by being indoors for a few hours today. I walked around a small Iowa town on Thursday night because it was so nice outside and I had someone that could stay at my table at the Farmer's Market and watch it for me while I was away. I took several photos. I found a few ghost signs I hadn't noticed before. Also some nice front porchs.

A New Texture To Share

I played around with a photo I took. This one is Copyright All Rights Reserved but I wanted to share it with you. I call it "For Rent."



It was a boarded up building in a town in Iowa that I photographed. Then played around with digitally added texture and playing around with the colors. The original building is painted a pale blue. I was thinking if it wasn't damaged too much it could be fixed up into a loft like they do in Kansas City and Wichita with the old buildings. They sometimes have a shop on the first floor and then the other floors are apartments. If I didn't love living in the county so much I would love to have an antiques and photography shop in one of them and then live above it so all I had to do was walk down the stairs to work each morning.

I thought I would share this today.
