I haven't made many birthday cards for my Zazzle store so I made a couple the other day. I am busy at another swap meet. Sorry I can't write much today. Maybe I'll take some new photos today if I get a chance.

Rainy Days
We've been having quite a bit of rain around here lately. The farmers were able to get in the fields early this year to plant but now the cold and wet weather plus flooded fields means that many farmers are going to have to replant at least part if not all of their crops once it dries up again.
My poor Iris flower lasted about a day. I traded some fertile hatching eggs for some Iris a few years ago and I got my first bloom the other day but then we had some strong winds and thunderstorms that have knocked all the petals off already. Oh well. At least I got to see it bloom and get a few photos of it.

Playing
I've been playing with textures from Playing with Brushes last night and this morning. She has such wonderful textures. Here is a slideshow of what she offers. I'd love to be able to offer textures as great as hers someday. Well... were was I? Oh. I have been busy playing this morning and here is some of what I created using the wonderful textures.
This one I altered one of her textures before using it.
and last but not least is Cloud Songs.

This one was created for a challenge in the Playing With Brushes group on Flickr.

The Graffiti Barn
I pass this barn every once in awhile and each time it looks different as the graffiti on it is always changing. I took this photo out the window as we were driving past it one day and have added a texture from Apples and Sisters Resources to it. Maybe some day I will actually stop on the gravel side road and take photos of it while the car is not moving. I want to take more photos of barns and abandoned houses some day but I will not trespass to get the photos. I'll stay on public roads and shoot the photos from there.

Limited Edition Artwork

Berner is a limited edition of my dog, Serena. I can't believe she is going to be 11 years old in June. I have several other limited edition works over at my Printpop gallery. I'm going to be adding some new limited edition photos or digital artworks over there soon.

New Goat
He doesn't have a name yet but we have added a Boer goat to the herd. I'm going to breed him to a few of the Alpine nanny goats in the fall.

Spring Flowers
The flowers are really starting to grow now. I took this photo at the library yesterday. I wanted it to be artsy with a sun flare in it. I plan to take photos of the flowers around here soon. I also want to get into the woods and take photos of some spring wildflowers.

Turkins
Some new little Turkin chicks have joined the flock. I got 7 of them this weekend. For those that don't know a Turkin is not a cross between a turkey and a chicken. It is just a breed of chicken that happens to have no feathers on it's neck making it look like a turkey somewhat so that is why the breed is called Turkin. Here is some more info on Turkins at Feathersite.

Another Weed
I have photographed a pretty little weed I believe to be called "Henbit." I've noticed some of my chickens enjoy eating a few of the little flowers at a time so I guess maybe that is how "Henbit" got named that. I like to take photos of weeds that are pretty to me. I'm going to have a very busy few days. I have things planned for Fri.-Sun. so I won't be on the computer much at all for those days so if I don't have a blog post those days that is why.
The texture I used on this one is this one thanks to Lenoirrr.

On The Lookout
There is a swap meet this weekend. I'll be on the lookout for more vintage postcards and if I am really lucky some vintage books and magazines printed before 1923. You never know who or what will show up at a swap meet.
My advertising tee arrived from Zazzle yesterday. Now I will be wearing it at swap meets and other places hoping people will see it and look the store up. It's not this tee but I am very happy with the quality of tees from Zazzle. I had sold some in the past and always wondering if the customers would be happy and now that I have my own I know they are amazing.
